We AVOID all ingredients that are petrochemical-based, such as polyethyleneglycol, SLS, paraffin, petroleum jelly and mineral oil.

Even when you do not see it on the ingredient list, fossil fuels have been used in the making of every PEG and even some essential oils.

The petroleum industry has been compromising the skin’s barrier with airborne pollution particles since 1859.

The more pollution, the more exposure, the more we need the products that are causing this exposure.

CLEAN BY DESIGN

100% NON-TOXIC, cruelty-free and vegan ingredients. We also use COLD-PROCESS TECHNOLOGY for the majority of our products to reduce our energy consumption while simultaneously preserving our precious, active ingredients.

NO UNNECESSARY FILLERS.

Even our functional ingredients (preservatives, emulsifiers, carrier oils etc.) are made from clean and sustainable sources and are often active as well as functional.

We use the EWG’s database as our guide and no ingredients above a rating of 3 will ever be included in a formulation.

GREEN CHEMISTRY

We choose our ingredients with the 12 Commandments of Green Chemistry as our guideline.

Green Chemistry is the utilization of a set of principles that reduces or eliminates the use or generation of hazardous substances in the design, manufacturing and application of chemical products.

In green chemistry, the boundaries between different disciplines are blurred - THE ORGANIC CHEMIST DOES NOT CREATE SOMETHING AND LEAVE THE MESS TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMIST TO CLEAN UP.

The impact of the material and the process on the environment, humans and resources is considered even before the design process begins.

EU STANDARDS

Since 2018 we have researched, developed and refined every formula to comply with EU REGULATIONS, WHICH BAN OVER 1,300 ingredients. The US FDA only bans 11.

Since INBAR+co is also available in the EU our products are regularly tested and monitored for safe use.

CRUELTY-FREE GOES WITHOUT SAYING

In 2013 the EU prohibited the use of animals to test cosmetic products AND ingredients. NO product may be sold in the EU that has been tested on animals, no matter where that testing took place.
