Use it with Body Butter or the appropriate body formula for slip. The tool should glide, press, or work in controlled strokes. It should never scrape dry skin.

With consistent use, it supports circulation boost, lymphatic drainage, the look of smoother skin, and the feeling of released body tension.

The Tool
How to Use
The body
tool sequence.

Use Body Gua Sha after Body Wash and Body Butter, with enough slip to let the stone glide. Keep movements slow and controlled.

01
Warm + Cleanse
Body Wash
Open the surface.

Cleanse with warm water and Body Wash to prepare the skin and ease initial tension before tool work.

02
Slip
Body Butter
The cushion for controlled glide.

Apply Body Butter generously across the area. The tool should glide, never drag. Reapply if it starts to stick.

03
Sculpt
Body Gua Sha
Slow, controlled strokes.
You are here

Work in slow strokes with light to moderate pressure. Use the broad edge for long body strokes, curved edge for thighs and arms, pointed edge for tension-focused work, serrated edge for lighter texture work.

04
Seal
Body Butter, Cooling Gel, or Thermal Cream
Finish based on need.

Seal with Body Butter for general care, Cooling Gel for tired or warm areas, or Thermal Cream when working around muscle and joint support.

2015
A long-stroke tool for body skin that wants more than a body cream. Slow, slip, repeat. There is no fast version. And it is simply a beautiful object.
— Daniella Inbar, Founder
The Science

A body tool works through pressure, direction, and consistency. The point is not force. It is controlled movement with enough slip to let the stone glide, pressing where the body holds tension and lengthening where it asks for support.

01
Broad Edge / Long Body Strokes
The widest edge. Best for the back, the outer thighs, the calves. Used for long, controlled strokes that cover ground rather than target a single point.
02
Curved Edge / Thighs + Arms
The contour edge. Best for the curve of thighs, upper arms, and shoulder blades. Tracks the body's shape with less correction needed.
03
Pointed Edge / Tension-Focused Pressure
The most precise edge. Used with care, in small strokes, on areas that hold tension. Light pressure is enough.
04
Serrated Edge / Texture-Focused Light Work
The textured edge. Lighter passes for the look of smoother skin across larger surfaces. Always with generous slip.
05
Bian Stone / Dense, Smooth Hand-Feel
Bian Stone has weight and density. The tool sits in the hand with the kind of presence the body responds to, and the stone holds temperature longer than lighter materials.

Tips
from the spa.

How estheticians and body practitioners at Resonance Marin think about edge choice, pressure, and direction when working with the body tool.

Use Slip, Always
Body Butter is the non-negotiable. The tool should glide, never scrape. If it starts to drag, reapply more product before continuing.
Begin Light
Start with the broad edge and lighter pressure. Build into more focused work only once skin and surface are warm and the body is responsive.
Work Toward the Heart
When the goal is drainage support, work in the direction of the heart with long, slow strokes. Calves toward thighs, hands toward shoulders.
Use the Pointed Edge with Care
The pointed edge is for precision. Light pressure, small strokes, never on broken or irritated skin. More pressure is not more effective.
The Details

Every question,
answered.

Formulated at Resonance Marin. Tested on real skin. These are the questions that matter most.

Can I use this on my face?
No. The Body Gua Sha is shaped, weighted, and edged for the body. Use a Facial Gua Sha for the face.
Does it treat cellulite?
No tool treats cellulite. Consistent body massage with slip can support circulation and the appearance of smoother-looking skin over time.
How often should I use it?
Start two to three times per week. Increase only if skin and tissue stay comfortable. Consistency over intensity.
What should I use with it?
Use Body Butter for slip on most sessions. Use Cooling Gel for tired or warm areas, or Thermal Cream when the focus is muscle and joint support.
How do I clean it?
Wash with warm water and mild soap. Dry thoroughly before storing. Avoid dropping on hard surfaces.
